What Lies Beneath?

Have you ever wondered what anatomical structures lay beneath traditional acupuncture points?

East Meets West: Anatomy of Acupuncture Atlas was born out of over 20 years of clinical practice, hours spent in the cadaver lab, as well teaching acupuncturists and TCM practitioners the intricacies of functional, structural, and topical anatomy.

East Meets West: Anatomy of Acupuncture Atlas was designed to not only bridge the gap between the established acupuncture points and underlying anatomical structures, but to improve the range of clinical outcomes for both the traditional and contemporary practitioner.

Divided into four sections for ease of comprehension, East Meets West: Anatomy of Acupuncture Atlas starts with the exploration of the neural acupuncture unit, as described by Zhang and colleagues.

The main section provides the foundation and covers acupuncture points and their corresponding anatomical structures.

The third section rounds out the antecedent section by discussing the nerve plexuses that supply the body.

Finally, detailed anatomical plates bring life to the relationship between acupuncture points and anatomical structures.

Most acupuncture education teaches what points do.

Very little teaches why they work.

Without anatomical understanding, clinical reasoning plateaus.

What if every point were understood through:

    • Surface anatomy
    • Layered structure
    • Neuroanatomy
    • Fascial systems
    • Segmental integration
    • Clinical application

What if “Kidney Qi” translated into lumbar segmental regulation?

What if “Influential Point of Tendons” aligned with peripheral nerve branching?

    This course bridges the two.

Inside East Meets West: The Anatomy of Acupuncture, you’ll gain:

    ✔ Precise landmarking methods
    ✔ Layer-by-layer anatomical breakdowns
    ✔ Neuroanatomical correlations
    ✔ East–West integration models
    ✔ Clinical reasoning frameworks
    ✔ Case-based application

Every lesson moves from theory → structure → mechanism → treatment strategy.

    This course is for:

    • Acupuncture students who want deeper understanding
    • Practicing clinicians who want more precision
    • CE-focused professionals upgrading their reasoning
